Here are the answers to the questions:
- The main (‘lead’) instrument is the clarinet. There is also a drummer, a double bass player and an electric guitarist.
- Debussy’s piece begins with a flute solo. At 7:50 an oboe plays a short melody.
- The piece featured on the dance track is a saxophone.
- Finally, the lead instrument playing in Gluck’s Dance of the Blessed Spirits is the flute. The accompanying instruments are from the string family which we will look at next week (violins, violas, cellos, and doubles basses).
